I keep a little tube of time And twice a day we race I let a little drop escape And put it on my face The fragrant silky cream of life Invites me to its shelf I simply spread a dot and thus Rejuvenate myself We both should last for ever but The finish line will come The tube is going to reach it first According to my sums
A year has gone it's nearly done But should I buy some more It's hard to say that anyone Looks younger than before Or smoother than they would have done Without the tube of youth Whose time is squeezed away and gone An undisputed truth But who would want to risk the wrinkles coming thick and fast When every product's new improved And better than the last
So even if at great expense It's surely no disgrace To take some special precious time And put it on your face
I’ve only just seen this, Gill. It’s fab; so enjoyable & a new version! How skilled you are with rhyme & humour. What would we do without a silky smooth cream!
I am fascinated that a tube of cream can encourage such humour. Well done, again.
