I did my job in medicine
Where you serve a stretch of time
I never guessed I'd go from stress 
To illustrated rhyme

Goodbye to grim and gloomy
Hi to frivolous and daft
Hey frazzled nurse here's comic verse
Oh how they would have laughed

Old lags return to hospitals
to end their days inside
Until that time this rhyming crime
just shows I haven’t died
