Time Being Spent Fruitfully

I painted this banana
So original and bold
I gave a week to watching
A banana getting old

On Monday it was lemon
With a hint of acid green
By Thursday night canary yellow
Carpeted the scene

I studded it with spots of black
On Sunday afternoon
And felt that it was finished
So I ate it with a spoon
