I posted and boasted
And now I’ve been ghosted
My nerves are all jangled and mangled
If this one starts haunting
Or texting and taunting
We’ll meet so that they can be strangled
To ghost – in an online relationship, abruptly cease responding to messages
To haunt – after ghosting, appear on shared social media without messaging
To strangle – not really
